The Pergamino Barocco is a weird little spellbook that looks like a weird little spellbook. It's written for fantasy and occult RPGs, and mostly system agnostic. Each spell is inspired and illustrated by a illustration of old texts, mostly alchemical, and the book is a scroll 8 feet long.
Roger S. G. Sorolla of Roles Rules and Rolls wrote Pergamino Barocco as a response to the ever-growing trend of extremely terse spell descriptions. Scouring the special collections of universities to find old and (mostly) forgotten esoterica and other strange books, we found some extremely evocative woodcuts and etchings. Then, in a somewhat surrealist move, the illustrations were reimagined as part of a grimoire, depicting its spells. Inspired by the illustrations, Roger wrote esoteric and imaginative magic, then refined them to be as evocative and effective in play, keeping them as system-agnostic as possible.
8 feet long scroll, hardcover, bound in white cotton, equivalent to approx. 48 A6 pages.
